This month the Lunch Tweetup is at Teller’s Restaurant and Bar. Teller’s is an award winning Italian restaurant located at the corner of 7th & Mass. A short time ago, they introduced a new $5 lunch special. On Tuesdays they offer all regular sandwiches from the lunch menu for $5.

In March 2009, Paul Smith traveled around the world relying on the goodwill of Twitter users. It was an amazing story that took Paul from the UK to New Zealand.

During this amazing journey Paul visited Lawrence and received a warm welcome from the local social media community.
He’ll be returning to Lawrence on Tuesday, October 26. Join him as he talks about his amazing Twitter adventure – a very real reminder that Twitter isn’t just about technology, it’s powered by people and relationships.
The lunch will take place in the Bird Dog Bar at The Oread Hotel. We held a lunch tweetup at The Oread back in July and not only enjoyed a great lunch but were lucky enough to be given a tour of the hotel, including a visit to the rooftop terrace where we were able to take some amazing photos of Lawrence from the City’s highest vantage point.
We’ll have that same opportunity this time. Tours will be available after lunch, and if the weather is nice we can head back to the rooftop. Bring your cameras!
Lunch will be at noon. Paul will speak during lunch.

The Twitchhiker trip to Kansas is being presented by Social: IRL and Start Thinking with the support of Suzuki of Wichita, Meads Corner, Chipotle, and The Oread Hotel.

It’s time for the monthly Lawrence Tweetup lunch! This month, join local Lawrence tweeters at Java Break, a downtown Lawrence coffee shop and restaurant.

- Where: Java Break, 17 E. 7th Street, Lawrence
Java Break has been a Lawrence icon for many years. It’s open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and has more than just coffee. While they have all sorts of coffee drinks, they also serve a variety of paninis all day, every day. There’s baked goods and a decorate-your-own cupcake experience. And if you haven’t seen their cereal bar, you’re missing out! Mix and match over 30 cereal types and 20 toppings, add your milk, and eat while watching classic cartoons. Just like Saturday mornings of childhood!
We’ll meet for lunch in the Graffiti Room. Join us for this unique experience! Check out their website for menus of drinks, paninis and the cereal bar.

It was great to see so many old friends and new faces at our annual Tweetup in the Park last week! The tweetup was a big success with guests from Topeka, Kansas City and Lawrence. We had lots of great food, too!
It’s time for the monthly Lawrence Tweetup lunch! This month we’re headed to Cielito Lindo, a Mexican restaurant in downtown Lawrence.

Cielito Lindo has a large menu of Mexican food staples. The restaurant is in a great brick building and has possibly one of the best patio dining areas in Lawrence. Let’s hope it’s a nice day so we can sit outside!

It’s time for another Lawrence Tweetup lunch! Meet old and new friends at Biemer’s BBQ in Lawrence for great food and conversation.

Biemer’s cooks their meat fresh every single day. They offer pork, beef, and turkey, and they have BBQ sandwiches, ribs, and lots of mouth watering side dishes. They even have a kid’s menu for the little ones. And if you need to feed a lot of people, you can buy their meat by the pound. Biemer’s also offers drive-thru service for the times you’re in a hurry. The next monthly Lawrence Tweetup lunch will be held at downtown restaurant Local Burger, a fixture in the downtown Lawrence scene since 2005.

Local Burger offers healthy fast food in a casual environment. Their mission is to “serve delicious food at a fair price with impeccable service while creating a culture of passion for knowing where our food comes from and how it connects us to our world, to our communities, and to ourselves.”
Local Burger sources all of its meats locally and features a variety that includes beef, buffalo, elk, lamb, pork, turkey, and tofu. Our host this month, 23rd Street Brewery, is a local Lawrence brewpub. They not only brew and distribute their own beer, they cater events, host banquets, and raise funds for local charities. 23rd Street Brewery is a member of the Lawrence Originals, a group of local establishments that combine resources and collaborate to provide excellent food and service. They also accept the Lawrence Give Back Card, which makes an automatic charitable donation to the charity of your choice whenever you use it at a participating merchant. If you don’t have a card, be sure to get one (they’re free!) before the lunch tweetup!
23rd Street Brewery has daily $6.95 lunch specials. On Tuesday, the special is a Hazelnut Encrusted Goat Cheese Salad or a Chicken Parmesan Sandwich. If you don’t have to head back to the office, enjoy $6 craft beer pitchers or $4 shots from their special shot list.

The first one debuts at the Free State Brewery on Tuesday, August 25th. We only have 20 spaces available so please contact @benasmith to reserve your chair.
